Special Waste
Special Waste is material that, because of physical characteristics, chemical makeup, or biological nature requires special handling procedures and permitting, or pose an unusual threat to human health, equipment, property, or the environment.
Examples of Special Waste include:
- Petroleum Contaminated Soil
- Auto Shredder Fluff
- Sand Blast Grit
- Street Sweepings
- Vactor Waste
- Incinerator Ash

Asbestos Disposal Information
Asbestos requires special handling for disposal. For information on asbestos disposal in King,
Pierce, Snohomish or Kitsap County contact the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency at

Asbestos Tipping Fees
Option 1
Roosevelt Regional Landfill
$75.00* per ton (Customer delivers directly to Roosevelt Regional Landfill, Roosevelt, WA.)
Asbestos will be accepted Monday-Friday from 8:00am-1:00pm.

Option 2
Generator delivers to Allied Waste Transfer Station at 2733 3rd Ave. South, Seattle, WA.
$210.00* per ton. Under 20lbs, one bag minimum $20.00*. 21lbs to 540lbs minimum $60.00*. Between 541lbs and 750 lbs, minimum charge $81.50*. Pricing includes transportation to Roosevelt Regional Landfill.
Asbestos will be accepted Monday-Friday from 8:00am-3:00pm and Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm.
Option 3
Allied Waste will deliver a 20 foot container (47cyds) to the job site for your people to load.
A total charge of $1,250.00* per container plus trucking at $94.00* per hour for delivering and pickup of the containers. If liners are provided by Allied Waste there is an additional charge of $50.00* per liner.
* Applicable taxes are in addition to above rates.
