What Goes in the Recycling Container?
Place clean and dry recyclable items into the recycling carts.

Paper
- Paper, junk mail, catalogs, cardboard (flattened, less than 3'x3'), magazines, newspaper, telephone books, paper boxes with liners, gift wrap without foil or ribbon.
- Plastic-coated paper cartons & boxes, including drink boxes (soy and juice, rinsed), frozen food boxes (clean), milk cartons (rinsed), juice cartons and ice cream cartons (flattened and no lids)*

Plastics
- Plastic bottles and jugs (pop, water, ketchup, milk)
Empty and rinsed.
- Plastic food tubs (salsa, yogurt)
Empty and rinsed.

Metals
- Aluminum cans
Empty and rinsed.
- Scrap metals (size limit: 2' x 2' x 1'', 35 lbs max)
No sharp or greasy scrap metal.
- Tin cans
Empty and rinsed.

Glass
- Bottles and jars of any color (rinsed and no lids)
Empty and rinsed. No dishes, ceramics or drinking glasses..

| * Not sure if a carton or box is plastic-coated? Use the scratch and tear test. If you scratch it and see wax, throw it into the Garbage. If you tear it and see a thin layer of plastic-coated paper, rinse, flatten and recycle!
