Single-Family Yard Debris Collection Service
Allied Waste provides curbside collection of single-family residential yard debris for a fee. The more you recycle, the less garbage you produce.
Start, Stop, Change Service
- Yard Debris service is available for a fee.

Find Your Collection Day
- Yard Debris is collected weekly on the same day as garbage from March through November, and every other week in December, January and February.
Prepare Your Yard Debris
- Use the standard 96-gallon Green Yard Debris Cart for all your yard debris.
- Review the list of What Goes in the Yard Debris Cart.
- Place your Green Yard Debris Cart out by 6 AM on your scheduled collection day. Put cart within 5' of the curb with lid opening toward the street. Please do not block driveways, sidewalks or mailboxes.
- Excess yard debris can be bundled or placed in paper yard debris bags or customer-owned 32-gallon containers marked "Yard Debris." Regular plastic garbage bags will not be collected!
- Up to 160 gallons or 5 units of yard debris will be collected every other week. A unit is described as a 32-gallon can (55 lbs max), a kraft paper bag (40 lbs max) or a cardboard box (size limit 2' x 2' x 2', 40 lbs max). A Allied Waste-provided yard debris cart is equivalent to 3 units. For example: 160 gallons (or 5 units) is equivalent to one Allied Waste-provided yard debris carts, plus two 32-gallon cans.

- Remove carts from the curb within 24 hours after collection.
Never put yard debris in your garbage! Garbage with yard debris mixed in will not be collected.
Approved Yard Debris Bags
Residents can use paper yard debris bags (35 lbs limit) for yard debris collection in addition to yard debris containers.

Additional Yard Debris Information
- For removal of trees or branches larger than 4" diameter, call a tree service.
- Remember - burning yard debris violates Puget Sound air quality standards.
- Christmas Tree Collection
- Yard Debris customers can set Christmas trees out on their regularly scheduled collection day.
- Trees must be free of flocking, tinsel, ornaments and metal hangers, cut to 4' lengths and tied into bundles less than 2' x 3' wide. Use biodegradable string or twine - no nylon, plastic or other synthetic materials.
- Flocked trees are not recyclable and will not be accepted. Put flocked trees in the garbage.
- Haul Yard Debris to the King County Transfer Station (the Dump)
- Only Cedar Falls Drop Box in North Bend, and the Enumclaw and Shoreline Transfer stations accept yard waste for recycling. Factoria and Houghton Transfer Stations will not accept Yard Waste.
