Landscape Debris Collection Services


The City of Lake Forest Park contracts with Allied Waste for the collection of landscape debris. Landscape debris service is available for an additional fee. Please contact your property manager to find out if your multi-family complex has landscape debris service.

Prepare Your Landscape Debris

1. Use the Landscape Debris Cart or Container for all your landscape debris.
2. Review the list of What Goes in the Landscape Debris Container.


! Please do not put landscape debris in the garbage! It is unlawful to put landscape debris in the garbage. Garbage with landscape debris mixed in will not be collected.


! Remember - burning yard debris violates Puget Sound air quality standards.

 

Christmas Tree Collection

  • To arrange for special collection of Christmas trees, call us at 206-682-3037
  • Trees must be free of flocking, tinsel, ornaments and metal hangers, cut to 4' lengths and tied into bundles less than 2' wide. Use biodegradable string or twine - no nylon, plastic or other synthetic materials.
  • Flocked trees are not recyclable and will not be accepted. Put flocked trees (cut into 4' lengths) in the garbage.

 

Haul Landscape Debris to the Transfer Station (the Dump)

  • Landscape Debris can be hauled for recycling to the local transfer stations operated by King County Solid Waste Division:
    • Houghton Transfer Station, 11724 NE 6th St., Kirkland
    • First Northeast, 2300 N. 165th St., Shoreline
      (Closed for remodeling until Spring 2008)
