The City of Des Moines contracts with Allied Waste for collection of multi-family residential garbage and recycling. Allied Waste also provides services for landscape and construction debris.
Rates
- Garbage rates are determined by the size of the garbage container and how often it is collected.
- Recycling is provided at no additional charge to Multi-Family Garbage Customers.(Limitations Apply)
- Landscape and Construction Debris services are available for an additional fee.

- Limit your weekly collections. Generally, the fewer collections you have per week the lower your bill will be.
