- Paper, mail, junk mail, brochures, catalogs
- Cardboard (flattened, less than 3'x3')
- Newspapers and magazines
- Telephone books
- Paper food boxes (liners removed)*
- Frozen food boxes (clean, empty)*
- Gift wrap (no foil or ribbon)
- Milk cartons (empty and rinsed)*
- Juice and soy milk boxes (empty and rinsed*)

Plastics
- All plastic bottles and jugs (pop, water, ketchup, milk)
Empty, rinse, remove and discard lids
- Plastic food tubs (salsa, yogurt, margarine)
Empty, rinse, remove and discard lids
- Plastic shopping & newspaper bags
Bagged together in tied plastic bag

Metals
- Aluminum cans (empty and rinsed)
- Tin cans (empty and rinsed)
- Scrap metals (size limit: 2'x2'x1', 35 lbs. max.)
No wood, rubber, plastic or other contaminants No greasy or sharp metal items

Glass
- Bottles and jars of any color (rinsed, no lids)
No dishes, drinking glasses or ceramics No mirrors

| * Not sure if a carton or box is poly-coated or plastic-coated? Use the scratch and tear test. If you scratch it and see wax, throw it into the Garbage. If you tear it and see a thin layer of plastic-coated paper, rinse, flatten and recycle!
